New York Summer Opera Scenes is a 14-day intensive program for aspiring opera singers. It is designed to answer the need of singers who are in New York during the summer and who are looking for an opportunity to perform. We are committed to working with young singers who are ready to combine musical and dramatic skills in a staged performance of a major scene from the standard operatic literature.

Participants $1,000. Auditors $350. Cost includes:

  • One fully staged performance with piano, conducted by Joshua Greene
  • One music rehearsal with Joshua Greene
  • Three stagings with Carol Yahr
  • One Final Dress rehearsal
  • Two Master Classes with Carol Yahr
